Mother Birddie Hargrove
Mother Birddie Hargrove is an outstanding individual. She moved to Alberta, VA with her husband in 1968.
After moving to Alberta, she became employed as a factory worker at Dixon Dress Company. After many years, Dixon closed leaving her without a job. With much encouragement from Pastor Hargrove, she went back to school and received her GED. Afterwhich, she enrolled at Saint Paul's College. She and her eldest son were students there at the same time.
As a full time student and a full time mom, she became very ill. Because of the will to see her graduate, the family pitched in. God healed her body miraculously and she was able to complete college. Not only did she graduate, but she graduated Cum Laude, an achievement that none of her children accomplished.
Not only is she a model mom, but Mother Hargrove is known for her beautiful smile, the tactful way she deals with situations and her ability to teach God's Word. Not only does she teach vocally, but she teaches by example. She strives to follow the will of God and the vision that has been set forth by her husband, Bishop Hargrove. She has a great love for her family and the church.

The works of our Church Mother
Mother Hargrove has served faithfully in many capacities, both secular and religious.In the religious area, she has served in her local church and in the state. She served as state secretary, state missionary president, to name a few. She is currently serving as the Virginia Western Diocese missionary President. In the secular area she is a member of the NEA, VEA, BEA, the Optimist Club, and the list goes on.
